Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque announced a full strength 21-man squad for next Wednesday’s friendly match against Uruguay in Doha.
The squad included ten players from FC Barcelona and three from their arch-rivals Real Madrid, in addition to six England-based players.Barcelona’s center-back Carles Puyol was included in the squad and is set to make his 100th appearance for “La Roja” when he play against Uruguay.
Del Bosque also picked up two uncapped players; Malaga’s shining youngster Isco and Chelsea’s right back Cesar Azpilicueta.Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas will miss the game through injury, while Fernando Torres (Chelsea), Michu (Swansea City), and Fernando LLorente (Athletic Bilbao) were all overlooked by the 62-year-old coach.
